Boiling water tap installation
Have you purchased a boiling water tap, or are you planning to buy one? Then an important question is: how is it installed? Fortunately, the installation of a boiling water tap can usually be arranged by a professional within a few hours. PureAqua offers a professional installation service throughout the Netherlands and Northern Belgium, so you don't have to worry about the assembly yourself. On this page, we discuss what to look out for during installation, what our service entails, and how you can soon enjoy your new acquisition without a care in the world.

Boiling water tap installation checklist
Before we proceed with installation, it is good to check whether your kitchen is ready for a boiling water tap. In principle, such a system can be installed in almost any standard kitchen. Here are the most important points to consider:
- Space in kitchen cabinet: The boiler is placed under the sink (15–45 cm high, 20–30 cm wide/deep). Be sure to check the height. Compact ~4L boilers fit into small cabinets, while 8L boilers require more space.
- Power outlet: Requires a grounded outlet (~1600–2200W) near the installation site, preferably inside the kitchen cabinet. No outlet? Have one installed. Avoid extension cords for safety.
- Water connection: Connection to the cold water pipe (sometimes also the hot water pipe). Usually via a T-fitting on the existing angle valve. Our technicians will take care of this.
- Drain (optional): High-pressure boilers sometimes require a drain hose; non-pressurized models like those from PureAqua generally do not. If necessary, we will connect this to the siphon.
Are you unsure if installation is possible? Send us a photo or description – in most cases, the answer is “yes”.

Frequently asked questions about installing boiling water taps
Can I install a boiling water tap myself or is a technician required?
In principle, you can install a boiling water tap yourself if you are handy and follow the instructions carefully. The system is generally supplied plug-and-play with all necessary connectors. However, it is important to proceed with caution (water + electricity) and, for example, only switch on the boiler once it has been filled. If you have no experience with this type of installation, we recommend hiring a professional. PureAqua offers an installation service, ensuring that everything is done correctly and safely. This also allows you to maintain maximum warranty coverage (manufacturers can be difficult when damage occurs due to DIY attempts). In short: you can do it yourself, but consider carefully whether you feel confident – safety comes first.
How long does it take to install an instant boiling water tap?
On average, the installation takes about 1.5 to 2.5 hours. This depends on the situation. If the old tap needs to be removed and a new hole needs to be drilled, that will take extra time. Connecting an optional extra filter or sparkling water module will also slightly extend the duration. For a simple replacement (existing tap out, boiling water tap in using the existing hole), it can be finished within 1 hour. Our technician will take the time to ensure everything is connected neatly and securely, and to provide you with an explanation. It is therefore usually a matter of being finished within the same morning or afternoon. You do not need to follow the installation process continuously; you will receive an explanation and demonstration once it is complete.
How much does the PureAqua installation service cost?
For PureAqua customers, we offer a competitive rate for installation, so you won't face any surprises. You can check the current price for our installation service on our website or by phone – it is often a fixed fee (e.g., a few hundred euros) for standard installation, including call-out charges. This covers the entire assembly, regardless of whether it is a 3-in-1 or 5-in-1 system. Any extras, such as drilling a hole in a natural stone countertop or installing an additional water outlet, will be discussed in advance. Many customers find this rate well worth it, given the specialized nature of the work. And if you purchase the boiling water tap in combination with installation, we can sometimes offer a package discount. Please feel free to ask about the options – we are happy to think along with you within your budget.
Does PureAqua also install boiling water taps that were not purchased from you?
In principle, our installation service is intended for customers who have purchased a boiling water tap (and possibly a filter) through us. This ensures we know the product inside out and can best guarantee service and support. Did you purchase a boiling water tap elsewhere but would still like us to install it? Please get in touch; in some cases, we do this, especially if it involves a brand that we support (such as Quooker or Unito). We will then ask which model you have and provide a suitable proposal. Please keep in mind that we prefer not to install unknown or inferior brands, as we stand for quality and safety. In all cases, please call or email us with your request, and we will see what we can do for you.
Does PureAqua deliver installations throughout the Netherlands, and also in Belgium?
Yes, we install throughout the Netherlands – from Groningen to Maastricht, from Alkmaar to Enschede. Living in Flanders? No problem: we also visit you in Northern Belgium (Flanders). Think of regions around Antwerp, Ghent, Hasselt, etc. Please keep in mind that planning in Belgium sometimes takes an extra week due to logistics, but we do cover the region. Do you live just across the border in Germany? That is also negotiable upon consultation. PureAqua wants to let as many people as possible enjoy pure water and the convenience of boiling water, so we do our best to be of service to you, wherever you are. Please contact us for the exact possibilities in your place of residence.
