The heart of the system

Your PureAqua system uses reverse osmosis to remove up to 99% of unwanted substances from your tap water. The device is completely powerless : the water pressure in your pipe powers the process, after which the clean water is temporarily stored in a patented Water-on-Water tank . This way, you always have clean water at your fingertips without pump noise or additional energy consumption.

Installation at your tap

We install the system exactly where you need it – usually in a kitchen cupboard, but a utility room, basement, or upstairs works just as well. All you need is:

  1. Cold water connection
  2. Connection to the siphon or drain

Is there no space under the sink? We'll install flexible hoses up to approximately 7 meters long so the appliance can be placed elsewhere. The system runs on water pressure, so no electrical outlet is required.

Choose your pure water tap

  • Three-way tap – one stylish tap for hot, cold, and purified water. No extra hole needed and by far the most popular choice.

  • One-way tap – a compact tap to complement your existing tap; ideal if you have a boiling-water tap (Quooker, etc.) or want to keep your current tap. Please note that an additional 12 mm drill hole is required. For granite, ceramic, concrete, or marble countertops, we prefer to have this hole pre-drilled by a specialist.

Frequently asked questions about installation & connection

Can I install the system in any kitchen cupboard?

Yes, usually. You only need a cold water connection and a drain hole in the cabinet. If it doesn't physically fit, we can install the unit up to approximately 7 meters away using flexible pipes.

Do I need power for the PureAqua system?

No. It runs entirely on your mains water pressure thanks to the Water-on-Water tank; no electrical outlet is required.

What if I already have a Quooker or other boiling-water tap?

That's no problem. You can choose the compact one-way valve next to your existing tap, or you can have the system installed elsewhere.

Does my worktop always need an extra hole?

Only if you choose the separate pure water tap. If you choose the three-way tap, it replaces your current tap and no drilling is required.

Do you also drill into natural stone or ceramic worktops?

As a precaution, no; for granite, ceramic, concrete, and marble, have a specialist pre-drill the hole (12 mm) first. Then we install the tap.

What happens to the 'dirty' water?

The concentrate is automatically drained via the siphon or another outlet. You won't notice this during daily use.

Can the system be placed in the attic or utility room?

Yes. As long as there's a cold water point and a drain, we can use longer pipes. However, keep in mind that there will be a slight drop in pressure or flow over longer distances.

What about maintenance and filters?

The filters last an average of 12 months, depending on your water consumption. You'll automatically be notified when they need replacing; you can easily do this yourself or have our service technician do it for you.

The power of our filters

The quality of purified water depends entirely on the performance of the filter system. That's why PureAqua doesn't just use standard filters, but a carefully designed system that guarantees maximum purification and a perfect taste experience. Each filter in our RO system plays a unique, crucial role – from removing coarse contaminants to eliminating the smallest microparticles such as PFAS, pharmaceutical residues, and viruses.

Pre filter | Sediment/carbon

The sediment filter

Removes sand, rust, and other coarse particles from the water. This protects the system and extends the life of other filters.

RO filter| TFC membraam

The RO membrane

Filters up to 99% of all contaminants, such as heavy metals, PFAS, pesticides, and bacteria. Only pure water remains.

De POST filter

The afterfilter

Refines water by removing odor and taste-impairing substances. The result: clear, fresh, and perfectly tasting drinking water.

How often should I replace the filters?

We recommend replacing the PRE and POST filters once a year. Replace the RO filter every 24 months. This keeps your drinking water clean and the system functioning optimally.

How much do the filters cost per month?

The entire maintenance cycle will cost you less than €10 per month . This way, you'll enjoy pure, spring-quality water for years to come, for a fraction of the price of bottled water.

With the Carefree Pure subscription, you're guaranteed the cleanest water – hassle-free. You'll receive all the necessary filters for your system right on time, including return and recycling of the old ones.

How do I know when it's time to replace the filters?

Your system comes with a handy water meter (TDS meter). This allows you to easily monitor the water quality and determine if replacement is necessary.

Can I replace the filters myself?

Yes, absolutely. Our filters are designed for easy, tool-free replacement. Simply pop out the old one, insert the new one—done in minutes.

Where can I order new filters?

You can easily order them through our website. Or choose the Carefree Pure subscription – then you'll automatically receive the right filters at home, right on time.

What if I forgot to replace it?

Don't worry! The water will remain safe, but filter performance may decrease. We recommend installing new filters as soon as possible for optimal water quality.

Healthy living starts with pure water

Drinking water seems obvious, but truly clean and pure water is essential for your health. That's why you want to be sure no unwanted substances end up in your glass. At PureAqua, we understand that better than anyone.

Our RO (Reverse Osmosis) systems ensure you can enjoy spring-quality water at home – straight from your tap. Thanks to a combination of smart filters, contaminants such as pharmaceutical residues, heavy metals, and bacteria are effectively removed.

Osmosis water filter

How does reverse osmosis work?

Pre filter | Sediment/carbon

Pretreatment

A clean start

In this first step, the tap water flows through an activated carbon filter, the PRE filter. This filter removes larger particles and organic contaminants, extending the life of the reverse osmosis system.

RO filter| TFC membraam

Osmosis

The core of purity

Here, the water is forced under pressure through a semipermeable membrane. This membrane allows only water molecules to pass through and blocks unwanted substances. The pure water is collected in a tank.

Storage

Always immediately available

The pure water is stored in the Water-on-Water storage tank. This innovative, patented tank holds over 5 liters of water, ready for when you need it.

POST filter | Carbon Filter

Remineralize

The perfect finishing touch

Finally, the water passes through a mineral filter to improve its taste. It's filtered again in the final moments for perfect flavor. Experience the superiority of our reverse osmosis system, The Source.

How does reverse osmosis work?

View all frequently asked questions

Does reverse osmosis also remove pharmaceutical residues and PFAS?

Yes. Reverse osmosis is one of the few techniques proven effective in removing pharmaceutical residues, PFAS, pesticides, and heavy metals.

Are there any minerals left in the water?

Most of it is filtered, but The Source adds healthy minerals such as calcium and magnesium through a remineralization filter.

What exactly is filtered from water with reverse osmosis?

Reverse osmosis filters up to 99% of impurities from your tap water. These include harmful substances like lead, chlorine, PFAS, pesticides, nitrates, pharmaceutical residues, microplastics, viruses, and bacteria. Even odor and taste-impairing substances are removed. What remains is pure H₂O – clean, fresh, and safe to drink. An optional remineralization filter reintroduces healthy minerals like calcium and magnesium for a natural flavor and a healthy balance.

Is reverse osmosis safe?

Yes, it is a safe and globally used method that meets strict standards such as NSF/ANSI 58. It is even suitable for medical and industrial applications.

What is the difference with a normal water filter?

A standard filter (like a Brita pitcher) only improves odor and taste, but removes very few harmful substances from the water. Reverse osmosis removes these, up to 99%.
