The heart of the system
Your PureAqua system uses reverse osmosis to remove up to 99% of unwanted substances from your tap water. The device is completely powerless : the water pressure in your pipe powers the process, after which the clean water is temporarily stored in a patented Water-on-Water tank . This way, you always have clean water at your fingertips without pump noise or additional energy consumption.
The power of our filters
The quality of purified water depends entirely on the performance of the filter system. That's why PureAqua doesn't just use standard filters, but a carefully designed system that guarantees maximum purification and a perfect taste experience. Each filter in our RO system plays a unique, crucial role – from removing coarse contaminants to eliminating the smallest microparticles such as PFAS, pharmaceutical residues, and viruses.
The sediment filter
Removes sand, rust, and other coarse particles from the water. This protects the system and extends the life of other filters.
The RO membrane
Filters up to 99% of all contaminants, such as heavy metals, PFAS, pesticides, and bacteria. Only pure water remains.
The afterfilter
Refines water by removing odor and taste-impairing substances. The result: clear, fresh, and perfectly tasting drinking water.

Are there any minerals left in the water?
Most of it is filtered, but The Source adds healthy minerals such as calcium and magnesium through a remineralization filter.
What exactly is filtered from water with reverse osmosis?
Reverse osmosis filters up to 99% of impurities from your tap water. These include harmful substances like lead, chlorine, PFAS, pesticides, nitrates, pharmaceutical residues, microplastics, viruses, and bacteria. Even odor and taste-impairing substances are removed. What remains is pure H₂O – clean, fresh, and safe to drink. An optional remineralization filter reintroduces healthy minerals like calcium and magnesium for a natural flavor and a healthy balance.
Is reverse osmosis safe?
Yes, it is a safe and globally used method that meets strict standards such as NSF/ANSI 58. It is even suitable for medical and industrial applications.
What is the difference with a normal water filter?
A standard filter (like a Brita pitcher) only improves odor and taste, but removes very few harmful substances from the water. Reverse osmosis removes these, up to 99%.
